Company History & Milestones
Our History
Established in 2005 in Italy, Platform Basket was born after the acquisition of a pre-existing fabricator of aerial work platforms. Since then, we’ve had a momentous journey. Not only did we expand our range of products to cater to the niches of construction, railway maintenance, tree care and more, but we also spread our reach across major countries of the world before setting up a base in Canada.
Over the years, we’ve brought about several innovations, including the adoption of lithium-ion technology in 2010. We got ISO 9001 Quality Certified in 2015, and in 2018, we launched a new production department to cater to the soaring demands of our platform lifts throughout the world. What’s more, in the year 2020, we inaugurated our new TMC headquarters which boasts of state-of-the-art technology.
The last decade has been a roaring success for us. The year 2021 not only witnessed the expansion of our range of railway lifts but our range of spider cranes also reached an impressive height of 43 meters! Next, in 2023, we launched our largest spider lift yet, the Spider 54T.
Today, the Canadian division – Platform Basket Canada – is proud to facilitate the delivery of aerial platforms throughout the North American region. We are proud of the journey we’ve had so far and we eagerly look forward to the innovations we have in store for you.

Today, we boast of 3 dedicated R&D departments, 5 production facilities, a strong team of employees and collaborators, over 800 active clients and 6000 operating machines worldwide. All we can say is that we are just getting started!
